Letter and poem from Albert Bigelow Paine to Irving Moore, responding to a request for material to include in an anthology of Illinois poets, which Moore co-edited with L.E. Robinson; Paine mentions that he lived in Xenia, Ill. until he was 18, but does not know any other Illinois writers, as he "left there so long ago"; Paine includes a typescript of "The Parish School", with additional holographic notes, for inclusion in Moore's anthology.
